Congratulations to The 2024 Jamie McHenry Lacrosse Scholarship recipients, Mac Andrews and Ryan Lawsom! The recipients were chosen for exhibiting excellence both on and off the lacrosse field.  They received a framed certificate as well as a check for $488 each.
We are so proud of this year’s meaningful recipients! Ryan Lawson, as a young boy , used to come and support his older brother, Ethan Lawson and Ethan‘s best friend, Jamie McHenry, as they played many travel tournaments over the summers.
Meanwhile, Mac Andrews, who moved into our neighborhood, directly across the street from us as a young boy, the year after Jamie died, used to come over and ask to hit on Jamie’s old bounce back in the driveway…  he brought some life back into that bounce back! It was there that he honed his skills that earned his all American American title last year . Mac proudly wears 88 in Jamie’s honor.
Both Mac and Ryan played on Jamie’s tribute lacrosse team, Team 8 over the past 5 years
